Can't wait to see the photos from your workshop & interested to see what you learned. I am dying to take workshop. There is one that I as looking into, but I will be taking a weeklong class for work the samw time =( I have been reading on the internet alot though...
I have a babylock & I love it!! I have never had a problem with it. My friend has the exact same one and she feels the same.
I bought a Viking Husquvarna and really love it. I do alot of quilting now, and it has a deep throat so there's more room for stuffing the fabric through the machine. Viking, Bernina, Babylock, and...I can't remember the other major brand, seems like it starts with an E...are all good machines. Janome is pretty dependable, too, and some of the new Singers are turning out to be really good. You just have to try them to see which is friendliest to you.
The last time I tried to sew anything, Madelyn fiddled with the tension while I wasn't looking. I nearly threw it out the window too. My sympathies!
